| Description |
Catholic Church in Plymouth, MI on Union Street. This building on Union Street served two churches. The Universalist Church was built in 1900 on the corner of Union and Dodge Streets. The building was abandoned, and around 1920 the growing Catholic Congregation of Our Lady of Good Counsel purchased it. The congregation met here until the church was destroyed by a fire on December 23, 1932. The congregation later built a new church on the corner of Penniman Avenue and Arthur Street next to E.J. Penniman's house. This photograph was taken c. 1923. |
