Admission is free for members of the Friends of the Plymouth Historical Museum. Membership Information. Tour groups can be accommodated; please call 734-455-8940 for a reservation.

No admission fee is charged for access to the Museum Store only.


The Museum is located at 155 S. Main Street, just north of downtown Plymouth, Michigan.

Exhibits - Plymouth Historical Museum - Votes_and_Vice(1)

January 16-June 16, 2019

A special exhibit focusing on the 18th Amendment, Prohibition of Intoxicating Liquors (ratified on January 16, 1919), and the 19th Amendment, prohibiting the states and the federal government from denying the right to vote to citizens of the United States on the basis of sex (proposed on June 4, 1919). The exhibit looks at the history of prohibition, temperance, and women's suffrage with vignettes on these topics.
