History of United MemorialGardens 1929 – 1954, Superior Township – Washtenaw County, Michigan. (Known previously as Booker T. Washington memorial Park 1029 – 1930 and Mount Vernon Memorial Park 1930 – 1953) Karl Williams (2003). Includes records, letters, newspaper articles, biographies, interviews, monument inscriptions etc.

Bridgewater Cemetery; Clinton Road, Manchester, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Stone readings from 1825 – 1940.

Canfield Cemetery; Werkner Road, Lyndon Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. It is a small plot on the east side of the highway.

Childs Cemetery; 11200 Tuttle Hill Road, Willis, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Clements Cemetery; Washtenaw County, Michigan. The farm was taken up from the government by Samuel Clements, the first white man to settle in Lima about 1834/1835.

Collins Cemetery; Lyndon Township, Chelsea, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Cooper Cemetery; Dexter – Chelsea Road, Lima Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Cross Cemetery; Clark Road, Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, Michigan.  It is located across the road from the Catholic cemetery.

Dixboro Cemetery; Plymouth – Ann Arbor Road, Superior Township, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Fairview Cemetery; 1401 Wright Street, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, names not in alphabetical order.

Four Mile Lake Cemetery; Four Mile Road, Dexter Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Free Church Cemetery; Ford Road, Superior Township, Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Freedom Township Cemetery; Waters Road, Chelsea, Washtenaw County,  Michigan. This is a small cemetery on the south side of Waters Road.

Geddes – Botsford Cemetery; Earhart Road, Ann Arbor Twp, Washtenaw County, Michigan. This cemetery is on land donated by Elnathan Botsford, one of the early settlers in the county in 1825.

Hudson Cemetery, Dexter – Pinckney Road, Washtenaw County, Michigan. This is an abandoned cemetery located four miles from Dexter.  Many of the headstones were broken and two were only partially legible.

Lapham Cemetery; Brookville Road, Salem Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Laraway Cemetery, Godfordson Road east of Joy Road, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Only Laraway burials cited.

Leland Cemetery; Earhart Road (bordered by N. Territorial Road), Northfield Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan.  Read 1984, indexed, plat map.

Luick Farm Cemetery; on U12, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Contributed by Mrs George O. Ross. This is a private cemetery.

Matthews Family Cemetery, Joy Road, Northfield Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Located in sec. 36 on the farm where Rufus Mathews settled in 1831. A monument marks the spot.

Mt Hope (Saint John’s) Cemetery; Elsworth west of Schmidtz Road, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Oakgrove Cemetery; Plymouth Ann Arbor and Dixboro Roads, Dixboro, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Read 2003. Cemetery is in good condition, well taken care of and still active as some of the readings show burials in 2002.

Phelps Burying Ground Cemetery; Baker Road, Scio Township, Dexter, Washtenaw County, Michigan

Popkins Cemetery; Pratt Road, Dexter, Washtenaw County, Michigan. This cemetery was on the farm of a disinterested German farmer, who argued that the living kin had removed the bodies of their relatives to Forest Lawn, Dexter. Those who had not were too poor or disinterested.

Pray Cemetery, Plymouth – Ann Arbor Road, Superior Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

St Francis Catholic Cemetery, Bethel Church Road, Freedom Township, Manchester, Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Salem/Walker Cemetery; Tower Road, Washtenaw County, Michigan. The land for this cemetery was given by Ida Ham, one of the early settlers.

Spencer Cemetery; Michigan Avenue, Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, Michigan.  There are transcribed records but the cemetery no longer exists; however, there is a memorial stone.

Union District Cemetery; Washtenaw County, Michigan

Waters Road Cemetery; Waters Road, Lodi Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. There are two cemeteries representing Waters Road Cemetery, both on Waters Road. The first cemetery is located about 1 ¾ miles west of Saline Road on the North side of Waters Road. The second cemetery is located about 4 miles west of Saline Road on the North side of Waters Road just past Zeeb Road at a place known as the Ed Aprill farm.

Whitmore Lakeview Cemetery; Corner of Nine Mile and East Shore Drive, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Transcribed by Mrs. George O. Ross. A number of World War I soldiers are buried here.  

Worden Cemetery; Five Mile Road, Salem, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Also records for Worden Cemetery copied by the George Rosses, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
