Main Street
The Plymouth Historical Museum's Main Street features a late 19th-century Victorian recreation of Main Street, tracing the growth of a small town from the railroad depot to the general store.
Electro-Motive E-8 ABA Diesel Locomotive, heading up the "Pere Marquette" Streamlined Passenger Train. This 7-train set was donated to the Plymouth (Michigan) Historical Museum by the Lawrence Scripps Wilkinson Foundation of St. Clair Shores, Michigan (now dissolved). Museum volunteers Dave Reitzel and Bob Pizzio hand-crafted the terrain for the Pere Marquette train to traverse from a cityscape to mountains. The trainscape sits high above the Museum's replica Pere Marquette Train Station on the 1900s-era Main Street. The Museum is indebted to the Foundation and to Reitzel and Pizzio for providing this entrancing entertainment for visitors.
