The Kellogg- $100-249

John Kellogg (1786-1871) fought in the War of 1812 and settled in Plymouth Township in 1834 where he bought a tract of land that comprises most of today's City of Plymouth.  A year later, he brought his wife, five sons, and two daughters to his new home on what is now Ann Arbor Trail.  Shortly thereafter, he laid out the village of Plymouth, selling off business and residential lots and donating the parks, church and school sites, and streets.  Kellogg Park is named for him.
